Referral Partner Entity Application - Overview
RecoveryLink features a closed-loop referral system that transforms the ways in which staff users provide and facilitate referrals with participants. RecoveryLink staff users can make referrals for participants that bring the referral entity partner provider into the process for seamless care coordination.
Once added into the RecoveryLink referral network, referral providers are classified as confirmed (information is accurate according to the referral partner entity), under review (information is being reviewed by the referral partner entity), and unconfirmed (the referral partner entity has not logged into the system yet) depending on if the referral entity provider partner has logged into the system to verify their entity information in the past.
Referral Entity Partner Lookup View
If a referral provider does not exist, staff must create new referral providers through the referrals service while in the referrals block (the service will open by selecting "Lookup Referral"). Staff do this by creating a referral entity provider profile and providing information on the type of services they provide (using the core RecoveryLink taxonomy of Recovery domains, as well as the open referral taxonomy specifications which allow for classification of referral types in nearly 400 categories). All new referral partner entities have a core profile and then can have one to many service locations defined (each with their own specific services offered at that location).
Add New Referral Entity Partner
When a referral provider is created, the new referral entity partner is notified over email that they have been added to the RecoveryLink system as a referral provider. This notification allows the referral provider to login to the RecoveryLink application, creating logins for administration as well as different staff of the referral provider. Once logged in, the referral provider can validate, update, and provide more information about their services and/or locations.
If electing to use the platform, Referral entity partners also have the ability to accept and update referral statuses (i.e., partner status) that are sent to them (including participant contact information, demographics, and characteristics if consent is provided), as well as provide notes and outcomes data on each referral which links directly to the staff application and participant data so each party is kept in the loop of progress on a specific referral. Importantly, participants and staff users have the ability to provide updates on referral status in addition to the external referral provider, and the referral system will use automation source of truth rules to always update the most accurate information on a referral at any given time. As not every external referral provider will desire to use the closed-loop referral system, management of referrals can also be maintained only by staff and/or participants as well.
Once logged in as the entity administrator (the account created in the step above), the referral partner entity admin can manage their entity information, as well as create logins for different staff of the referral entity that will help to manage incoming referrals. Passwords and user management for the referral partner entity are done through the partner dashboard administrative section, where passwords and login emails can be edited as needed.
If electing to use the platform, Referral entity partners also have the ability to accept and update referral statuses (i.e., partner status) that are sent to them, as well as provide notes and outcomes data on each referral which links directly to the staff application and participant data so each party is kept in the loop of progress on a specific referral.
Each individual referral once received will have a partner status of pending until the referral is reviewed and either accepted or rejected by the referral partner entity staff users. Status changes and any notes provided in the future about a referral are immediately communicated to staff and participants involved in the referral. As updates can be easy to miss, any changes or modifications to a referral will generate notifications in the notifications hub for staff users, participants, and the referral entity partner staff.
