Managing Participant Services and Service Episodes
Managing the services of a participant is done via the Manage Services section of their participant profile by any staff user with access. Staff may navigate to this option either using the "Manage Services" quick action from any participant list view, or from the Manage Services participant profile sidebar navigation item. Manage services can perform several dynamic options depending on the current status of the participant. These options are discussed below:
Assign Staff Member
Assigning or reassigning a staff member can occur at any time that a service episode is active (i.e., participant status of active engaged or active unengaged). Staff members that can be assigned include any active staff member of any role. Note: historical staff assignments are saved, so updating staff assignment will not modify historic records.
Assign Program ID
Assigning or reassigning a program ID can occur at any time that a service episode is active (i.e., participant status of active engaged or active unengaged). Staff members that can be assigned include any active staff member of any role. Note: historical program ID assignments are saved, so updating staff assignment will not modify historic records.
Assign Default Service Location
Assigning or reassigning a default service location can occur at any time that a service episode is active (i.e., participant status of active engaged or active unengaged). Staff members that can be assigned include any active staff member of any role. Note: historical default service location assignments are saved, so updating staff assignment will not modify historic records.
Start New Service Episode (Reactivate)
Any participant with an Inactive status (Inactive Discharged, Inactive Kiosk Member, Inactive Referrals Only) may have a new service episode started. This option will perform a new intake and begin a new service episode so that a participant may engage with the appropriate services.
Share Participant Record (Coming Soon)
With appropriate consents, a participant may elect to have their record shared with another organization within your enterprise. This applies only when sharing a record across organizations tied to the same RecoveryLink enterprise, not to external organizations. Sharing a participant record will allow for both organizations to provide services with a participant and allow for certain record information to be shared at the time of consent so as not to duplicate data collection needs, as well as provide historical context such as previous recovery planning, referrals, etc.
Transfer Participant Record (Coming Soon)
With appropriate consents, a participants may elect to have their entire participant record transferred to any organization within the RecoveryLink application. This option will discharge the participant from their current service episode, and make available a complete record of services received to date along with a profile at the receiving organization. Updates to the participant record and services provider after a transfer are not available to the previous organization that the transfer originated from.
